Material JPC Rejected from the official record

Joint Planning Commissioners are only supposed to consider evidence submitted into the official record. The Nov 16 and 18 2021, public meetings were the only chance members of the public had to introduce evidence into the official record. It is therefore disappointing that the JPC voted to exclude the information below. Solar land-use deals with many technical and complex topics. As you can see the attached appendix gathers pertinent information from many third parties. Blocking access to this material because these knowledgeable parties did not prepare their information in the JPC’s format does not help commissioners have access to all pertinent material.

One example of information the JPC refused to allow in the official record is page 118 of the appendix, Solar Farm Assessment Recommended Guidelines published by the Kentucky Department of Revenue Office of Property Valuation Division of State Valuation.
