Do solar farms create any noise?

There will be standard construction noise during the construction period, but there is no noise from the panels once the project is operating. Only one piece of equipment on-site emits a humming sound, but it is at a very minimal level. A study on noise is available here. The study found that the inverter (the piece of equipment which can create a dull, humming noise) cannot be heard from 500 feet away. These inverters are placed near the center of the panel array, not the edge and, therefore, are unlikely to be audible from outside the solar farm.
